On 05/12/2024, 1:15 am my father Mario Cervantes Sr. lost a vicious battle to diabetes. Diabetes is a terrible disease that devastates many families, & my family has been hit incredibly hard. My father was one of the toughest, hardest working men I’ve ever seen in my life while always still prioritizing & providing for his family. He has been BATTLING and FIGHTING through many health issues due to diabetes for the past decade. Yet he never complained & just continued to FIGHT through everything while knowing he wasn’t an unhealthy person.
Last year my father was really sick and went through a leg amputation which was heartbreaking to see him have to go through, but that man continued to FIGHT with jokes & smiles. He was on his way to recovery & in February issues arose again. After a month in the hospital then a month 2 hours away from home in a skilled nursing home he still FOUGHT and made it home…. But a month later after being home issues arose again & he had to be hospitalized. My dad FOUGHT & FOUGHT & FOUGHT for 12 days in that hospital, but diabetes…. It began shutting down every organ in his body to the point that a terrible, painful way of life would be lived & that's if a miracle happened…..
So, at 50 years old, my father reunited with all our angels and is FINALLY PAIN FREE. I promised him I’d take care of our family forever & I will keep that promise. He’s lived on through his Wife Linda, Mom Anna, Sons Mario/Andres, Grandkids Isabella/Michael, Brother Mikey, & Uncle Joe as well as tons of family and friends. Nothing will ever heal the pain we are feeling, but I’m asking for some help during these times. Anything is appreciated thank you all.
Long Live Mario Cervantes Sr
