In the late hours of Wednesday, March 4th our friend Mario Arevalo was a victim of gun violence. For anyone who knows Mario, he is a great friend to many and a loveable character. He is always a great support system for anyone who may need it- right now he needs us.

Mario is facing a medical emergency to no fault of his own. He was a victim of a drive-by shooting in his sleep. He woke to being hit 3 times by stray bullets, taking severe damage to his leg and foot. Mario is a full time food & beverage professional and will not be able to work while he heals from surgery and goes through physical therapy. It will take months before he is able to return to work due to the nature of his wounds. This tragic circumstance of this event has also left him needing to leave an unsafe apartment. He was not the intended target of the crime but his surrounding area. He hopes to relocate and heal.

We ask that we come together as a community to raise funds to help our friend with mounting medical bills, physical therapy, relocation, basic needs and other financial burdens this awful circumstance will leave him with.

We can’t control when tragedy strikes but we can help our friends get through it and make it not so terrifying.
