Life is very scary right now.

My car broke down three times in the past week, costing me $2.5k that I did not have.

That car was my lifeline. It has been so difficult to find sustainable employment as a trans and autistic person in South Florida. I currently have to commute 1.5 hours each way to work where I make $15 an hour part-time.

All of my resources have been depleted. Last week, I couch surfed to try and make things work. I often go days, sometimes weeks, with very little access to food or basic necessities.

Yes, I've been applying for so many jobs. Yes, I've reached out to every organization you can think of for help. Nothing is working.

Even through it all, I still do my best to share resources and find support for other members of my community, but I feel hopeless. I don't feel like my community shows up for me in the same way.

So where do we go from here?

I am actively working towards moving to Orlando in the next six months where there are more resources, jobs, affordable housing, and community support available to me.

The funds from this fundraiser will be used to pay off car repair bills, help cover basic necessities, and pay for crucial mental health services.
