This month, we toast the Marine Corps birthday across the globe in celebration of the Marine Corps' illustrious history and those who have come before us.

Many Marines are located in Marine commands that have full dinners, parties, and importantly, the birthday cake (where we symbolically pass our heritage down from one generation to the next). However, there are small groups of Marines located in joint commands across the world representing the Marine Corps to the best of their ability through this season and within the lack of funds during the government shutdown.

As a community of Marines, I ask we support one such group of 4 Marines located with NATO Joint Force Command Brunssum in the Netherlands as they have been told there are no funds available to bring this important tradition to their Joint Services Ball on November 21st.

Please consider donating a dollar or two to help them include this important tradition to their celebration.
