"Explain why you're raising money.."As if it's that easy.. Everyone that has seen me recently knows that my Multiple Sclerosis is progressing.  From what started as a simple foot drop has progressed to a full on  debilitating handicap.  Walking with a cane helps, but it's pretty obvious- even to strangers-that I am struggling.   Walking to another room in my house, taking the stairs, putting on my shoes, taking a shower, Even stopping at a store became a challenge for me. There are (a lot of) times I will not even go to a store if the handicapped parking spots are too far from the front door.  Even at social events, I worry if there will be an empty seat for me since the weakness in my leg prevents me from standing long. At 32 years old, a large part of my life changed. No crowds, no malls, no beach or bars, no dates, no concerts no more ANY RECREATIONAL FUN. I have been evaluated for the Bioness Plus and qualify. I cried tears of joy in the short time I had it on! Only problem is the price. Not only will this Neuromuscular Stimulator help me walk better, science has shown that I will gain strength again in my leg and foot. I would be incredibly grateful for any donations toward affording the Bioness Plus System.
