This past weekend, Marina's beloved Honda Shadow, Lil Ratchet, was stolen from the parking lot of her apartment complex in the middle of the night.

Marina spent the last 3 years pouring her blood, sweat, and tears into Lil Ratchet's improvement and upkeep, painstakingly rebuilding and modifying every component of the bike into a safe, trustworthy (not to mention gorgeous) machine that she depended on every day. While everything about this bike was a labor of love, Lil Ratchet was much more than a passion project. It was Marina's only vehicle and she's currently relying on expensive rideshares for transportation to work, to obtain groceries, and other basic needs.

Marina’s friends and colleagues have all had the chance to witness her strength, resilience, and intensely hard-working spirit. She busts her ass for her jobs, keeping musicians and their fans safe when things get rough at a show, administering Narcan and other life-saving measures to patrons, and ensuring everyone has a good time when they go out to Mohawk and Elysium every week. She’s also the kind of person who pays it forward, using her time, resources, and relationships to help others without asking for a lot in return. Now she needs our help.

The chances are next to zero that Marina's bike will ever be recovered. Due to a variety of anti-theft measures, there was no way for anyone to power the bike and ride it away. Whoever took Lil Ratchet needed multiple people to load it onto a truck, which means they planned ahead. The bike was incredibly well-cared-for and maintained, therefore likely targeted specifically for its many valuable parts.

The goal of this fundraiser is to crowdsource enough money for Marina to get a used, working motorcycle, to enable her to implement heavier anti-theft measures and to cover some of her transportation expenses until that goal is met. Any small amount that you can afford to give matters! Let’s get Marina back on the road!
