Hello and warm greetings to all of Marina’s family, friends, acquaintances, kindred spirits, future friends, and all of those who feel called to help a very special person who you may not even know.
Marina has esophageal cancer, a rare disease among young people that has spread to her surrounding organs. She recently moved back to Chicago to seek better care. Starting in January 2024, her treatment has included extensive hospital stays, cross country travel, and procedures, all of which require full time care from her loving husband, Jon.
Marina qualifies for some out of state clinical trials that could save her life, and money shouldn’t get in the way of her care. We need to get her there ASAP and time is of the essence. Staying alive with an aggressive disease is a full time job (if you know, you know…).
If your heart or mind compels you, please consider giving and sharing widely. No donation is too small, it all adds up.
We appreciate all the prayers, positive energy, and well wishes that you all continue to send her way. Thank you for your love and support!
Marina is a Chicago-based artist whose many talents include drawing and painting, graphic design, and a growing interest in ceramics. Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Marina lives in Chicago with her husband, Jon, two rescue kittens, and pup Sarah. Everyone who knows Marina knows that she's a ray of sunshine full of sparkles, joy, and an enduring love of pizza.
