Message from Marilyn:

First of all I’m extremely humbled and appreciative of all the prayers, thoughts and contributions from all of you during my most difficult time. I have been fighting for my life and health for many many months and have made some progress. However, unfortunately last week I was rushed to the ICU again and now I’m still in the hospital for treatment. It has been a constant up and down battle for my health since March.

I have fought with all my strength to regain my health and keep my faith. My family has been doing all they can to help sustain me throughout my battle. Not being able to work for so many months, as you can imagine has led us to financial hardships that we are currently experiencing. With medical bills and monthly living expenses it has been very difficult to keep up. These next few months will be emotionally and physically difficult for me as I work on regaining my strength but I know I can overcome and get back to being myself again. I never ask for any help. I've always been self reliant and independent but I’ve learned recently, it’s okay to ask for help when we need it the most. We all need help sometimes we can't do this on our own. Since March, I’ve been fighting to live because of COVID-19. I had multiple organ failure, bleeding, tracheostomy, blood transfusions, dialysis and 3 intubations. It is now 6 months later and I feel that I pulled through because of all your prayers. I thank my God I get to see another day. Now, I worry about these upcoming months. I need help to get by with amounting medical bills and with our living expenses. I will have to be on long term disability as I am not able to work due to my medical complications. As many know, I started a new chapter with my husband in a new home at the beginning of this year. But now, the medical bills are pending. Friends and family, thank you for the initial help and all your prayers. I am asking for a little more help now as I really need it to cover medical bills and living expenses to come.Anything you can contribute would be helpful to us and would help pay for my physical therapy which will hopefully help me walk again one day. My rehab benefits have been exhausted through medical insurance. I ask you for your continued prayers and humbly ask for any help you can give.
