FUNDRAISER FOR MARIELA DE LA PAZ’ CANCER RECOVERY
Dear friends! I am starting this fundraiser to humbly ask for financial donations for my dear friend Mariela De La Paz, who has been doing the heroic work of recovering from cancer for …. years now.
Recovery from cancer can be a very long and arduous road to travel on and it is not for the faint of heart. Mariela has amazed me with her strength and courage as she has been working with many modalities, from natural remedies and holistic therapies to certain allopathic approaches to healing. She has really done the work of a courageous warrior, showing an example of how to persevere and continue striving for recovery. Many who come behind her will surely be inspired to do the same.
The outcomes of her efforts to heal have at times been extremely encouraging and at other times they have been somewhat disappointing. After conventional medicine could no longer serve her, I witnessed Mariela go through a most arduous “herbal surgery” with a Native American formula called black salve. This process was both painful and miraculous to watch. Mariela had to be on strong pain medications to endure this procedure that took several months. The use of this formula helped to naturally extract the tumor, yet some of the cancer’s “tentacles” were still left in her body. Since the tentacles still have active cancer cells in them, she is once again using some specific conventional medical tools to disarm them. She is very regimented with her diet and she is also using a number of holistic cancer-healing protocols.
Mariela is a highly talented and vivacious Chilean-born visionary artist, holistic healer, protector of peace, and lover of the natural world. She has been an integral part of our greater conscious community in California for many years - sharing her gifts of art and plant medicines, hosting healing events and sacred ceremonies, and providing wisdom and inspiration for many. Mariela’s original artwork has received great praise and recognition internationally and has been featured in several publications and galleries. Despite the challenges cancer has brought into her life, Mariela has continued creating original artwork, gardens to grow plants for healing, and natural remedies from the plants she grew. She is a beautiful soul filled with great love and compassion. For those of us who know Mariela, it is an honor and a deeply pleasing experience. Her beautiful energy and her big heart bring warmth and upliftment to all that she encounters.
A few days ago Mariela called me and told me she would like to go to Mexico to get intravenous Medical Ozone and Vitamin C therapy - both of which have been proven to be highly effective at reducing cancer in the human body. She found a place where she can stay and get these therapies for a much lower cost than in the United States. She is also planning to stay on specific medications which help with hormone-blocking.
I am writing all of this and sharing her story to ask for your support. We are working on raising the funds needed to help Mariela get to Mexico and receive the treatments that could help save her life.
