Help Marie with critical care

My name is Jill. This fundraiser is for my generous, funny, wonderful, partner and friend Marie. She has worked so hard in her eating disorder recovery for over 10 years and is ready to access the inpatient treatment that is critical to her health. We know that she needs this level of care, but it is not something we can sustain on our own. 

 

Eating disorders are treatable, and recovery is possible, but 80% of people living with eating disorders are not able to access the treatment they need because of the financial expense. Insurance frequently does not cover inpatient support or ends coverage before clients are recommended for discharge. For now, we have been lucky enough to have some of Marie’s care covered, but she has made the difficult decision to leave her work to focus on treatment-meaning that insurance benefits may not continue. Additionally we are moving to my income alone. Financial worries have been the single biggest barrier in accessing treatment for both of us. With your help, she can pay her insurance deductible for the year and enter treatment this week.
