Hi, my name is Dewayne and I am fundraising for my dear friend Marie. Marie is a single, 38 year old mother of a 20 month old toddler that she has sole custody of. She and I have been thick as thieves for about 10 years now and you couldn’t ask for a better person, friend to have by your side. She is an amazing mother and a small business owner. About two weeks ago a Doctor sent her for a colonoscopy. In the results it showed a 10 cm mass in her colon. Upon finding this she was sent for a MRI and 2 CT scans. On Thursday, we got the news that not only was the mass in her colon, but the cancer is stage 4 and has spread into her lungs, lymph nodes, and aortic artery in her heart. There is a future appointment set with an Oncologist to come up with a plan to combat this horrible disease that affects so many. We do know she will begin Chemo treatments very soon. She has a huge fight ahead of her and I am confident she will give it her all. Marie owns a small pet sitting business and has several loyal clients. She has decided to take a step back from the business for awhile and focus on her treatment and her spunky little dude. Just like everyone else, she has many financial responsibilities that will continue to be due monthly. She is not one to ask for help, but this is me asking for her. If you can donate to this cause it would help a young mother, tremendously!
