Hi! My name is Marie L. I recently was involved in an accident on 9/28. I was driving straight on Route 15 N on Wilbur Cross Parkway in CT, going into Heroes Tunnel near what used to be exit 59, when a car came fast from behind and the other car didn’t slow down or merge in time and hit the back of my car, specifically the driver side back tire, causing me to spin out multiple times and causing me to get sent to the emergency room, I have a concussion and I am still suffering from other side effects due to whiplash, but sadly I don’t have health insurance so my doctor has been denying my visits.

The police are finding no one at fault for the accident. I'm trying to get an attorney involved, and it’s been 3 weeks, and I’ve heard nothing yet about anyone being able to take my case and help me. I drive 70 miles each way to work each day just so I can barely get by, and the worst part is still have to pay off this car that I can now no longer drive. I live with my boyfriend, and I have been driving his car, but it’s been acting up. We took it to the shop, and it is essentially unsafe to drive on the road. We have no mode of transportation. We have two jobs and we work conflicting shifts, so even when I was borrowing his car, he had to Uber to work or vice versa. Now he has to risk his life driving his car to work or Uber every day, which we can’t afford.

I have to pay for my hospital bills, and since “no one’s at fault” my insurance nor his insurance will do anything. So I have to pay off my old car, and now two more cars. I don’t know what I’m going to do. I can’t get to work to get the money to pay for those cars, but if I Ubered to work from 70 miles away, I’d be paying $200 a day, which is essentially a car payment a day and also everything I make, if not more, in a day. I am so stuck and I need help. I don’t know where else to go.
