Help Marie Fight Stage 4 Metastatic Cancer

Hi, my name is Tonya Blomgren. I am fundraising on behalf of my mother Marie Jackson to help with her escalating medical bills for cancer treatment. She has Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer which has spread to her liver. My mother is a fighter and is determined to beat cancer and see all ten of her grandchildren grow up. She was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2003. After chemotherapy treatments and all the horrors that encompasses she had a mastectomy in 2005. Then In 2006 she had reconstructive surgery. It was a tough battle, but thankfully she survived and had no detectable cancer cells for many years. Around the ten year mark she went to her doctor for extreme back pain. After tests and biopsies she found out that she did in fact have cancer again. Spots were popping up on her shoulder, ribs, spine, and on her lungs. For the past eight years she has fought diligently. My mother has tried everything from chemotherapy to experimental cancer medications. She was on a strict schedule of chemo pills which seemed to be keeping the cancer from growing, but most recently a routine scan showed cancer in her liver. She began double doses of intravenous chemotherapy in November of this year (2021) which is making her extremely sick and weak. On November 22nd she passed out at my sister's house in MN. She was rushed to the hospital, then transported to Mayo Clinic. They discovered she had a mild stroke which was likely caused from the double doses of chemotherapy treatments. At the young age of 71 my mom is sick and weak, but still has a lot of fight left in her. Needless to say her battle has been exhausting not only physically and emotionally but financially as well. Every time we talk she tells me how worried she is about covering her medical bills. If she falls behind on her payment plan they will discontinue her treatments. That is too much stress to put on someone who is fighting for their life, but that is the reality of cancer. Our family is doing all that we can, but it's not enough. She urgently needs money to pay her medical bills so she can continue treatments. Please help my mother continue her battle against Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer.
