I’m asking for help because I am trying to avoid being displaced again. I recently lost my home in a fire and was forced to relocate with my dogs. I’ve been trying to rebuild since then, but before I could stabilize, another setback happened. A broken gate caused an accident that left my car damaged. Without transportation, I lost my job, and since then I’ve had no steady income. Now everything is colliding at once. My dog, Bambi, is sick and needs surgery. I also have a surgery scheduled for myself. Instead of being able to focus on my health, I am now facing eviction and going to court while trying to survive day to day. I have been doing everything I can—filing insurance claims, making calls, trying to recover—but I have reached a point where I cannot keep up on my own.
