On September 24th our family’s life was flipped upside down when Marie, a devoted mother and grandmother, was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive type of salivary gland cancer. Since then she has undergone total reconstructive surgery on her jaw using a bone from her leg. She has a lengthy journey ahead filled with radiation, chemotherapy and lots of unknowns.

She will be unable to work for the unforeseeable future and was denied FMLA assistance through the state with no way to cover her monthly bills or mounting medical bills. Anyone who knows Marie knows that she doesn’t ever ask for help. The fact that she let us make this just goes to show how much she truly needs it.

Marie has been a Snoqualmie Valley resident for 30+ years and has given so much to this community. We are asking the community to return the favor and help support this amazing woman so she can focus on healing without the added financial stressors.
