Help Marie and Willow Rebuild Their Home

This crowdfunding was created on behalf of my mother, Marie Miller, who is one of the victims of Hurricane Helene. Less than three years ago, Marie faced the unimaginable: the loss of her husband, best friend, and life partner, Rod Miller, after 35 years of marriage. Through the grief, she found solace in the simple joys in life: her cozy home in Newport Richie, Florida, the friendships of her supportive neighbors, her family, and the companionship of her spirited corgi, Willow.

Last week, Marie and Willow’s world was shaken yet again when Hurricane Helene tore through their town, bringing with it floods resulting in devastation to their home. The place Marie poured her heart into, filled with cherished memories, was submerged in water. Of course, the emotional toll of being displaced from her home is overwhelming, but this toll was made all the greater because her homeowner's insurance will not cover any of the costs to rebuild.

This fundraiser has been created to help Marie rebuild. 100% of the funds raised will go directly toward repairing the flood damage, replacing lost possessions, and giving Marie and Willow a place to call home again. Any contribution, no matter the size, will go a long way in helping her recover from this heartbreaking setback.
