Help Maridith with enormous medical bills.

Hi this is Lisa, Maridith's mom. Some of you are somewhat aware of Maridith's recent health issues. Not even going back as far as the gallbladder attack in 2020 (though she still owes on that hospital visit), she's become overwhelmed with recent medical bills. During the time of the 1cm kidney stone, which was completely blocking her left kidney, the various emergency department visits until she finally got a diagnosis and surgeries to fix it, she was without insurance. A single bill from that time is over $31,000. That doesn't include various doctor's bills, etc.

So, the kidney stone was removed and analyzed. And the analysis pointed to parathyroid disease, which causes extra calcium to be dumped into the bloodstream and contributes to the formation of kidney stones. In fact, she already has new small stones forming. Recent tests have shown a growth on one parathyroid gland. And the amount that she owes for those scans is another few thousand dollars. Though she has insurance now, her copay for these tests (and upcoming surgery) is not small! And surgery to remove the affected parathyroid gland is scheduled for September 9th. Though these kinds of growths are rarely malignant, full pathology will be done on the tissue after it is removed (prayers, positive vibes, healing thoughts, etc., greatly appreciated!).

Maridith is tougher than she is now able to realize, but this is all really getting her seriously down. So, of course, one morning on her way to work, she wrecks her car. And she didn't have full coverage. What you may or may not realize is that her car is Jerod's car.

She really wants (needs - the timing is really bad) to get this car fixed so that she can drive it for a while longer. It is still sitting in the parking lot of her workplace and hasn't gotten any kind of formal price quote to get it fixed. It will need a radiator, condenser, bumper, and fender.

While the amount I've asked for is quite large, it is only a bit of what she needs to cover medical expenses (current and future) and get her car driveable. And since she was out of work for a few months (that's a whole other story) and bills tend to accumulate, her need is even greater than what is represented here.

Please help however you can. Please. This is my baby. If it was within my means to fix all of this, I would. Help me help her.
