In your early 20's you're likely still in college or simply trying to figure out what you want to do in life. My goal is to become a registered nurse and have been working towards that. My name is Maricruz, I’m 24 years old and have just been diagnosed with an aggressive stage 2 breast cancer. On October 2020, I went to the doctor so they can check a lump I felt on my right breast and the doctors insisted that it was nothing to worry about making me wait 6 months for a follow up. I felt the lump grow within those months so I decided to go back and ask them to do a biopsy. Little did I know that on June 2021 I would be diagnosed with breast cancer. At this point not only had they detected cancer on the lump but it had now spread to my lymph nodes. I now have to do chemotherapy, surgery and hormone therapy. I am kindly asking for help with my treatment and help me kick cancer’s butt. I appreciate every single one of you.
