Hello lovely people!
I’m beyond excited to share that I’ve been admitted to Minerva University in San Francisco! I’ll be the first peruvian at this university! This is truly a dream come true for me — as a climate justice advocate and first-generation student from Peru. My parents never had the opportunity to pursue a higher education, so this milestone is not only an incredible academic journey, but also a deeply personal one for me and my family.
Minerva has awarded me their highest scholarship: 91% of tuition covered! However, as a student, it’s still a challenge to cover the remaining costs of tuition, travel, and living expenses. The total cost for my first year is $9,500 USD, and that’s why I’m reaching out to friends, family, and kind-hearted individuals for support.
Why This Matters
- First-Gen Student. I’ll be the first in my family to attend college, and this achievement will inspire my younger siblings and show them that with effort, persistence, and support, anything is possible.
- A Unique Global Learning Experience. Minerva is the most innovative university in the world, with a 1% acceptance rate. I’ll get to live and study in countries like Germany and Argentina, gaining real-world experience beyond the classroom.
- Investing in My Future. As a climate justice advocate focused on fighting food insecurity, this degree will help me learn from new technologies and solutions to support vulnerable communities like mine in the face of climate change.

Hola querida comunidad!
¡Estoy muy emocionada de contarles que he sido admitida en Minerva University, en San Francisco! Seré la primera estudiante peruana en esta universidad. Este es un sueño hecho realidad para mí, como activista por la justicia climática y estudiante de primera generación de Perú.
Mis padres nunca tuvieron la oportunidad de una educación superior, así que este logro no solo representa una gran oportunidad académica, sino también una meta profundamente personal que marcará una diferencia en mi familia.
Minerva me ha otorgado la beca más alta que ofrecen: el 91%. Sin embargo, como estudiante, cubrir los costos restantes de matrícula, viaje y gastos de vida sigue siendo un reto.
El total de gastos para mi primer año es de $9,500, y por eso estoy recurriendo al apoyo de mi comunidad, amistades y personas solidarias como tú.
¿Por qué esto es importante para mí?
- Primera en mi familia. Seré la primera de mi familia en ir a la universidad, y este logro marcará un hito. Quiero demostrarle a mis hermanos que, con esfuerzo, persistencia y colaboración, los sueños sí se alcanzan.
- Una experiencia educativa única. Minerva es una de las universidades más innovadoras del mundo, con una tasa de aceptación del 1%. Estudiar allí me permitirá vivir en países como Alemania o Argentina, en una experiencia transformadora que va mucho más allá del aula.
- Una inversión en el futuro de mi comunidad. Como defensora por la justicia climática, he trabajado en soluciones para combatir la inseguridad alimentaria. Esta carrera me permitirá aprender de nuevas tecnologías y enfoques para enfrentar los efectos del cambio climático en comunidades vulnerables como la mía.
Cada donación, por más pequeña que sea, me acerca un paso más a hacer realidad este sueño. Y si no puedes donar, ¡compartir esta campaña también me ayuda muchísimo! Estoy profundamente agradecida por cualquier forma de apoyo, ya sea económico o emocional.
