Hi friends! I, Michelle, and Cheche are good friends of Marica. We are sharing the story of Marica and asking your good hearts to help her during this challenging stage in her life.

She is now legally blind in her right eye with 5% vision and might go blind also on her left eye.

Our dear friend, Marica Tirona, a single mom and dutiful daughter has been going through tough times due to her medical condition.

She is in the risk of going blind on both eyes.

History: 3 vitrectomy surgeries that was unsuccessful on her Right eye that resulted to permanent blindness.

Last March 2025 she underwent Cataract extraction on the left eye.

She is now scheduled on Feb 12, 2026 surgery for her left eye with a Diagnosis of Myopic Macular Retinoschisis and Procedure- Pars Plana Vitrectomy.

She is challenged and put in a situation where in she is scared to be completely blind.

She is the sole breadwinner to her son and her elderly mother.

Her son, Kyle , is on his third year BSPT and after graduating will have to do his DPT and then he can help his mom.

Being a Physical Therapist is all she knows and earn their living. If she goes completely blind she wont be able to work anymore and would need to undergo training for vision impaired mobility .

We would like to ask for your support so we can raise funds to help Marica face this challenge and prepare for their future .

Funds will be used to prepare her for vision impaired mobility training , transitioning and initial funds for her to get by until she finds stability again.

We are supporting her so she can go through this financial burden and be able to recover and heal well. She will need all the strength and clarity to face the future with her medical condition.
