Help Mariasha Stay in Her Home and Continue Cancer Treatment

Hi. My name is Mariasha and I’m in a crisis situation. I’ve been in treatment for an incurable blood cancer called Multiple Myeloma for a year. I went through seven intensive 21-day cycles on a four-drug regimen (infusions twice a week + pills) followed by a bone marrow transplant. I’m currently on a less intense regimen (infusion once a month and daily chemo pills). I’m extremely weak and have many side effects from treatment.
Since my diagnosis, my partner has been the sole source of our income as well as our medical insurance. She was just laid off. We were already struggling to get by, and now we’re in a really serious situation. I’m going to apply for disability, but that takes about a year to process.
If that all isn’t hard enough, literally a few days after the lay off news, I was diagnosed with another cancer on top of the blood cancer. I have breast cancer again. I just found out.
Unemployment doesn’t even cover our rent, much less other expenses such as food, utilities, phone, car, and medical costs. I really need help. I need to remain in our home (apartment) and continue with life-saving treatment. I’m reaching out for help because the situation is dire. I have a strong desire to live and appreciate any help beyond measure! Thank you from the depth of my being!
Sending love to all who read this.
