Our very loved Daniel Mahan rescued a beautiful 1 year old pit-bull from being euthanized last year and made him a part of his family, as Daniel does, with open arms. Marias was living under a house in the French Quarter homeless and alone. Daniel spent weeks coaxing him out, little by little gaining his trust and got him to a rescue shelter to find out they were going to euthanize him because of his breed. Daniel picked him up immediately to become his forever family. He has spent a year training and pouring love into his new fur baby and Marias fits right in with his 2 other dogs, one of which is another rescue he has had for a decade

Unfortunately two weeks ago Marias tore both of his ACL muscles in the park and the surgery will be $8000. With this unexpected cost, I was hoping all of you might be able to help our friend Daniel who has helped so many of us in so many ways. To my fellow fur parents, you also know the struggle and pain of seeing your baby injured with shocking vet costs mounting up quickly.

Thank you and for keeping Marias in your thoughts, it's at least a 2-3 months of healing BUT he will be able to play as normal and get back to being the sweet red-nosed pitbull everyone loves.
