Never in a million years did I think I would be asking my community for help, but here we are.
Last night around 2:00 a.m., my aunt, her boyfriend, and her two sons aged 16 and 11—one of them being my godson—were awakened by the sound of fire alarms blaring through their apartment building. They lived on the fourth floor, which unfortunately took the hardest hit. By the grace of God, they all made it out safely.
However, they were left with absolutely nothing. No phones, no bookbags, no school uniforms; only the clothes they were wearing at the time.
We are asking for any and all donations to help them begin rebuilding their lives from the ground up. Anything, no matter how small, will make a difference and is deeply appreciated.
If I had to describe my aunt, I could go on for days about how selfless, loving, and giving she is to everyone around her. Now, she and her family need that same love and support.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, prayers, and generosity.
If you would prefer to donate directly, her Cash App is $jonas4251.
If you would like to donate basic necessities, electronics, clothing, school supplies, and/or household products please reach out to me: Briana Roman or her Maria Alicea.
