We are raising funds for my granddaughter, Marian, and her precious baby boy, Josiah. Josiah was born with hydrocephalus and a brain tumor, and from his very first days of life he has been fighting bravely in the NICU. Josiah faces multiple surgeries and chemotherapy, and throughout this incredibly difficult journey, he needs his mom by his side as much as possible. Marian’s presence means comfort, advocacy, and love for a tiny baby who is already enduring more than most ever will.

The NICU is not close to home, and Marian must travel back and forth regularly to be with Josiah during treatments, procedures, and long hospital days. The cost of transportation quickly adds up, creating an overwhelming burden during an already heartbreaking time. Funds raised will help cover transportation to and from the NICU, ride services, gas, or other travel-related costs—ensuring Marian can spend as much time as possible with Josiah without worrying about how she’ll get there.

Josiah is a warrior! Jesus was with him throughout his surgery, guiding the hands of the surgical team. He held him in His Holy Hands resulting in a successful biopsy procedure, and placement of the shunt. The results of the biopsy will take 3-4 weeks to receive, and will determine the type of chemotherapy he will need going forward. He will rest in the hands of Lord Jesus while we wait, knowing that he's in the perfect care of our Great Physician.
