Help Marian and John Seek Lifesaving Care

My name is Marian Voros, and I am a teacher in the Brookline Public Schools. I love teaching, and I have dedicated my life to nurturing students and supporting families to help their children thrive and grow for over 30 years. Today I am reaching out to ask for help for my family. My brother John Voros, a vibrant and hard working 63 year old, has been diagnosed with stage 4 glioblastoma brain cancer. Glioblastoma is a rare cancer, and one of the most aggressive and difficult to treat cancers.
This diagnosis came out of nowhere, and it has hit our small family very hard. John and I are a team. He has helped me raise my son as a single mom, and he is the foundational backbone of our family. All we have is one another, and so we find ourselves extending our hearts and our hands for your support in this time of need.
John is receiving the very best care possible here in Boston. He is beginning intensive radiation treatments this week, but further treatment options for this type of cancer are extremely limited. We have been told that John's tumor will not respond to chemotherapy so radiation is his only avenue for treatment. Even with this aggressive course of radiation, we have been told that John's life expectancy is 12 months.
As you can imagine, this prognosis is incomprehensible to process so I have gone down the road of extensive research to find additional treatment options for John. I am excited to share that I have found a promising treatment that is approved to treat another form of cancer but not yet approved for the treatment of glioblastoma. The treatment is currently in phase 3 clinical trials here in the United States, which means it is heading towards a possible FDA approval sometime in the not too distant future. The problem is that John does not have time to wait for that day to arrive. He must act now and he must act fast in order to fight this fight.
This treatment has the potential to extend John's quality of life, giving him more time to do the things he enjoys with his family and dear friends. It even has the potential to significantly increase his lifetime and possibly destroy the deadly disease that he is fighting against.
The treatment is called oncolytic virus immunotherapy and it is being offered through Biotherapy International, a globally recognized center for innovative cancer treatment using immunotherapy and cellular therapy. This therapy is not yet approved for the treatment of glioblastoma in the United States so as soon as John's radiation treatment is completed in 6 weeks, he must travel out of the country to receive this treatment. The sooner he has access to treatment, the better his potential outcome will be, and truly, the outcome could be a life saving miracle! I am attaching a link here to information about this treatment for those of you who are interested in learning more: https://ibiotherapy.com/all-immunotherapy/oncolytic-viruses/
Any bit of support you can give to help us with the expenses of this treatment would be sincerely appreciated. I may be out of work for a period of time in order to take on this endeavor, and our financial stability will be impacted. Please consider making a donation and sharing this GoFundMe link with your contacts. Any contributions would mean so much! Thank you and God Bless.
