If you know Mariam, you know she’s the kind of person who doesn’t back down from a challenge.
She’s always been resilient, pushing through obstacles with quiet strength and determination. She has always worked hard, staying focused on every goal she has set and kept going until she succeeded. That’s who Mariam is.
She’s also one of the most adventurous, driven people we know. This past year alone, she decided she was going to master snowboarding, and she did. Then she picked up a guitar and started teaching herself something completely new. That’s Mariam: always growing, always challenging herself, always reaching for more.
She was getting ready for her next big step, starting aviation school this fall, chasing her dream of working on planes.
But everything changed.
Mariam has been diagnosed with ALK+ anaplastic large cell lymphoma, a rare and aggressive cancer. Instead of preparing for school, she’s now preparing to start chemotherapy. Her dreams are on pause, and her focus has shifted to something much bigger: fighting for her health.
As her friends, we’ve watched her show up for life again and again. Now it’s our turn to show up for her.
The reality is, this fight comes with a heavy financial burden. Medical bills, treatments, and the day to day costs of care are overwhelming.
We want Mariam and her family to focus on what truly matters: her healing, her strength, and her recovery, and not the stress of finances.
Any donation to Mariam's finances would be appreciated, even a prayer would help. We thank everyone who is able to contribute in any way they can.
