Mariam is just 17 - a bright, loving teen full of dreams. One misunderstanding led child services to remove her from her home, tearing her away from the only place she felt safe. For nearly a year, she cried to return, but no one listened.
Then came the unthinkable. On April 20th, Mariam collapsed. A brain aneurysm put her in an induced coma. She was hospitalized for two months, underwent high-risk surgery, and was sent home recently. She needs further surgery and is still suffering from severe headaches.
Her condition is fragile. Her parents, Syrian refugees who came to Canada seeking safety, have never left her side. They are also caring for their two younger children. They are emotionally and physically exhausted.
The father is the only bread winner of the family.
Now, they are drowning in debt:
-money owed to a lawyer
-behind on rent, groceries and bills
-struggling with no family support
You can help this family keep going.
Your donation will:
-support Mariam's long recovery from surgery
-help cover rent, food and essentials
-pay the legal fees that helped them fight for their daughter.
They have lost so much, but refuse to lose hope. Please donate and share Mariam's story. Your kindness can help save her life.
