Help Mariam Get Life-Saving Treatment
$28,594 raised of $35K
My name is Valentina, and I am writing on behalf of my dear friend Mariam, who is too weak and exhausted to fight alone anymore. Mariam is 31 years old, a wife, and the mother of an 11-year-old girl. Until 2024, she lived a normal, hardworking life in Armenia with a job, a home, and plans for the future. Everything changed after a medical error. What began as a treatable condition turned into a nightmare. Mariam spent over a year in and out of intensive care, undergoing surgeries and expensive treatments that did not work. She lost her health, her job, her home, and her car. Her husband lost his job to care for her 24/7. With their last savings, they made the heartbreaking decision to leave their child behind and travel to France to save Mariam’s life. Upon arrival, she was taken by ambulance directly to intensive care. Today, Mariam is wheelchair-bound and critically ill. She has end-stage kidney failure, decompensated Type 1 diabetes, severe nerve damage, spinal fractures, autoimmune skin disease with open wounds, serious digestive damage, and severe vision loss—one eye gone, the other with only 50% vision. Mariam and her husband currently have no housing, no income, and no support in France. Doctors have confirmed that she urgently needs a kidney and pancreas transplant. The free waiting list can take up to 8 years—time Mariam does not have. Her mother should travel to France and be her donor for kidney, to fasten the process.I am asking for help so Mariam can undergo life-saving surgery, afford basic living expenses during treatment, and receive rehabilitation and essential medications. She is not asking for luxury—only for a chance to live, walk again, and hold her daughter. If you can donate or share this fundraiser, you may be saving a life and reuniting a child with her mother.
