We are asking for your help to provide humanitarian assistance to over 70 monks and hundreds of innocent orthodox Christians that have fled to the monastery for shelter and food. Mariam-Debo Andenet Monastery is located in the heart of Atsbi Wemberta in the Tigray region. These individuals are struggling for the basic necessities such as food, and water, and without your assistance face a dire circumstance. Prior to the war, the monastery was struggling to provide for the monks and now the added strain of providing for the local civilians facing famine is making it extremely difficult. According to the World Food Program and the United Nation, currently 91% of the 6 million Tigarus are a facing man made famine and in need of immediate humanitarian aid.
