My name is Mariam (Mashka). I am 6 years old and I live in Tbilisi, Georgia.
Mariam was diagnosed with Wilms' Tumor a year ago. The child underwent surgery to remove the tumor and unfortunately the doctors were unable to save one kidney. After a year long difficult chemotherapy, Mary's condition was under control and everything was fine. During one regular check up, we found out that the tumor was back, unfortunately much larger and much more difficult.
The tumor is large at 12.5cm, 9.1cm, 7.3cm. (4.921 inches, 3.583 inches, 2.874 inches). It pushes on the liver, gallbladder and duodenum.
Currently Mariam is in Iashvili Central Children's Hospital, she is undergoing a chemotherapy course to reduce the tumor and make the child transportable.
The condition is very serious and unfavorable, so it is necessary to transfer her to Germany, to the University Clinic of Freiburg, where she has to undergo emergency surgery, chemotherapy and radiation therapy. It is very necessary to mobilize funds for everything, currently Mariami needs.
