Help Mariah Sing Opera in France!

Hi! My name is Mariah, and I’m a senior vocal performance major at SUNY Geneseo. I’ve spent the past four years dedicated to studying opera and refining my voice, with the dream of one day performing on professional stages around the world.

I’m raising funds to attend a prestigious young artist program in France this summer, where I’ve been cast in my very first opera! This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity will allow me to work with internationally acclaimed teachers, gain real-world performance experience, and take a huge step forward in my operatic journey.

I had originally planned to go to graduate school after graduation, but due to financial limitations, that dream has had to wait. Receiving this opportunity in France feels like a door opening at just the right moment. It’s not only my first opera role but potentially my first step into the professional opera world.

Opportunities like this are rare, and this could be the experience that helps me launch my career.

As someone who's poured their heart into every lesson, rehearsal, and performance, it would be devastating to decline this chance simply because of financial hardship.
