On January 17, I met up with an ex who had been persistent about seeing me. When I did, I was attacked by someone I once trusted, cared for, and loved. The assault left me unrecognizable in a short period of time, with two fractures, a fractured tooth, and stitches on my lip. My insurance won’t cover the cost of my tooth because it’s considered cosmetic, which has added to the stress and financial burden I’m facing right now.

I am reaching out for help because these medical and dental bills are more than I can handle alone.
