Support for mariah Thompson & her future
Donation protected
I never thought I would be writing something like this. Our sweet baby girl, Mariah Imani Thompson, just turned four months old on October 27th. She was born on June 27, 2024, and has been the light of our lives.
On the night of October 24th, while we were at work, the mother of my children’s mom was watching our four kids. She decided to take a bath with Mariah and, while under the influence of alcohol, fell asleep. Mariah drowned and was without oxygen for 20 minutes. Instead of calling 911, she drove Mariah to the hospital, having my six-year-old stepson hold her the entire way.
We didn’t find out what had happened until the morning of October 25th while we were still at work. Our baby girl had to be airlifted from Arlington to Cook Children’s Hospital, where she has been fighting for her life ever since. Since that night, the woman responsible hasn’t even checked in on Mariah, and instead, she has continued to drink and even threatened to call CPS on us.
We have never been through anything like this before. Our three other children are safe, but our hearts are shattered watching our baby girl struggle. Just hours before this tragedy, she was smiling, laughing, and full of life. Now, she’s in the hospital, fighting with everything she has.
We are asking for help. Between medical expenses and the challenges ahead, we are facing a difficult road. Please, if you can, any amount will help us during this heartbreaking time. If you’re unable to donate, please share this.
Mariah, we love you so much, baby girl. Mommy and Daddy are here with you every step of the way. You are so strong, and we are praying for you every second.
Please keep Mariah in your prayers, and thank you for any support.
