Help Maria & Tak Tak Restart and Rebuild

Ashes to Ashes Maria and Tak Tak's home turns to dust
On August 4th, the River Fire swept through small mountain communities in both Nevada and Placer County. It started in a campground and ripped through the valley following the Bear River. The Busby Family homes lay directly in its path.
The main home, built of stucco and steel, is now just a drooping shell with nothing left inside but ash, surrounded by burned trees and landscape that is still smoldering. The second home nicknamed the “KZ” or Kid zone lay in a pile of ash. Together Tak Tak and Maria helped David (who led the remodel project that lasted over three years) to do all the work, literally everything but the drywall and tiling. It was a labor of love that created many family memories. The home received its final approval a couple months ago. The Kid Zone was also home to Maria's Brother and Sister In Law. They just moved in a month ago to be closer to family.
Safe at a friend's house, Tak Tak and Maria have expressed they have the bare essentials and feel gratitude for what they do have, their safety and a roof over their heads.
Returning to the property for the first time 8/16/21 they shared with me photos of the devastation and yet stayed positive. I knew I had to do something, so without them knowing I have started this Go Fund Me account. I will tell them soon, so they can reach out to more people but I want to kick it off. If you know Maria and Tak Tak at all, you know that they are givers. (They will not ask for help, so I am giving them a push)
