Mi nombre es María Elena Monserrat Tábora, tengo 44 años, casada, y 3 maravillosos hijos con edades de 14, 10 y 7 años, 2 varones y una niña, Soy médico de profesión con especialidad en Ginecología y Obstetricia, profesión que ejerzo en la práctica privada desde hace 14 años en mi ciudad natal, Danlí, Honduras.

Hace un mes mi vida dio un giro de 360 grados, durante mi consulta, sentí que algo no andaba bien  ya que mi sangrado menstrual se había prolongado más días de lo usual y me realicé un ultrasonido pélvico encontrando una masa que ocupaba la 3era parte de mi útero, cuya         imagen era compatible con un mioma. Un colega medico me examinó y tuvo la misma impresión diagnóstica, motivo por el cual decidí que el mioma debería ser extraído a la brevedad posible.

Fue así como el 05 de junio del 2021 fui sometida a una intervención quirúrgica para extraer el mioma pero al despertar de la anestesia mi colega me dio una noticia devastadora, la masa que parecia un mioma por Ultrasonido, era en realidad un Carcinoma Seroso Papilar de        Endometrio Grado 3, el cual fue confirmado por una biopsia que fue realizada por un Médico Patólogo.

Ese día para mi comienza el conteo contra el tiempo, en busca de ayuda para recuperar mi salud.

Este diagnóstico requería de una cirugía radical para extraer mi útero que es donde se aloja el cáncer, para poder realizar una nueva              biopsia y saber el grado agresividad del cáncer y así determinar qué tipo de terapia coadyuvante o quimioterapia podré necesitar.

De inicio cotice el tratamiento en un Hospital de Houston Texas donde están muchos de los mejores médicos especialistas para tratar este tipo de Cáncer de una manera integral, desde estudios de imagen, de patología, la realización de la cirugía hasta la Quimioterapia, sin            embargo los costos en estos Hospitales en Estados Unidos sobrepasan nuestra capacidad como familia.

Por esta razón decidí explorar otras opciones en España, y hoy estoy pidiendo ayuda a personas de buen corazón que me ayuden con lo que puedan, de dólar en dólar podremos alcanzar la cantidad que me ayude a recuperar mi salud y poder regresar a mi país para poder ver          crecer a mis hijos, cuidarlos como solo una madre puede hacer y además poder volver a trabajar en mi profesión que tanto amo ya que          cada día puedo ayudar a decenas de mujeres a mejorar su salud.

I'm María Elena Monserrat Tábora, a forty-four year old woman, married, and mother of three wonderful children- ages fourteen, ten and seven years old, out of which two are boys and the youngest a beautiful girl.

I am a Gynecology and Obstetrics (GO) specialist professional, a profession that I´ve performed in a private practice since more than14 years ago in my hometown, Danlí, Honduras.

1 month ago, my life took a 360° turn. During my consultation, I felt that something was not right in my body due to my menstrual bleeding for the first time in my life had, it had lasted more days than usual and I performed a pelvic ultrasound myself, finding a mass that occupied the 3rd part of my uterus, the image of which was compatible with a fibroid. A medical colleague examined me, which also came to the same diagnosis that I had previously feared, which is why I decided that the myoma should be removed as soon as possible, due to the fact that I had not had any fibroids in my uterus in my previous medical check-ups.

This is how on June 05, 2021 I underwent a surgical intervention to remove the myoma but upon awakening from anesthesia my colleague gave me devastating news, the mass that impressed a myoma by Ultrasound, was actually a Papillary Serous Carcinoma Endometrium Grade 3. That day for me begins counting against time, in search of help to regain my health.

Today facing this diagnosis, I am in need of an urgent oncological medical evaluation, a surgery to remove my uterus, which is where the cancer is located and after such surgery we will be able to know the aggressiveness of the cancer and thus determine what kind of ancillary therapy or chemotherapy I may need.

That is why I need your help since we have quoted in a Hospital at Houston Texas where there are many of the best medical specialists to treat this type of Cancer in a comprehensive way, from imaging studies, pathology studies, performing surgery to Chemotherapy, however the costs in these Hospitals in the United States exceed our capacity as a Family.

For this reason, I decided to explore possibilities in Spain, today I'm asking all good-hearted people to help me with how little or how much you can, since dollar by dollar we will be able to raise the amount necessary to regain my health and thus be able to return to my country to see my children grow up, take care of them as only a mother can do and also be able to return to work in the profession that I love so much since it allow me to every day help dozens of women to improve their health.
