Help Maria Support Her Niece Who Has Turner Syndro
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Community,
I’m reaching out on behalf of my boss, Maria Lamberti, who has been a dedicated and loving foster mother to her great-niece, Juniper, for the past 2 ½ years. Juniper, who is now three years old, was born with Turner syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that affects 1 in 2,500 girls. Turner syndrome can lead to a variety of health challenges, including heart defects, hearing loss, and developmental delays, which means she requires ongoing medical care and therapies.
For the past two and a half years, Maria has completely set aside her own personal needs and life to ensure Juniper gets the care and support she needs. She has provided Juniper with a stable and nurturing home, ensuring she receives essential therapies through daycare. Unfortunately, the Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES) has recently cut off financial support for Maria because she’s a family member, despite the fact that Juniper’s special needs continue. If Maria were a foster parent through the system, DES would continue to cover the costs—but because she’s family, they’ve decided to stop.
This situation is unfair and places Maria in a difficult position. Without the necessary funding, she will have to reduce Juniper’s time in daycare, which also means cutting back on the essential therapies provided there. These therapies are crucial for Juniper’s development and quality of life. We’re asking for your help to raise $5,000 to cover the costs of daycare and therapy for the next few months while we explore other options. Every dollar helps and goes directly towards ensuring that Juniper gets the care she deserves.
Maria is too prideful to ever ask for help like this herself, so she has no idea that I’m organizing this campaign on her behalf. She just wants what’s best for Juniper, and I know that with your support, we can make a real difference in their lives.
**About Turner Syndrome:**
Turner syndrome is a genetic condition that affects only girls and is characterized by the absence of part or all of a second sex chromosome. It can cause a variety of medical and developmental issues, such as short stature, heart defects, and infertility. Girls with Turner syndrome often require specialized medical care and therapy throughout their lives. Juniper faces these challenges every day, but with your support, we can help provide her with the best possible care. Please consider donating and sharing this page with others. Let’s come together as a community to support Maria and Juniper during this challenging time.
**Thank you for your kindness and generosity.**
