For nearly 20 years, Maria A. Smith has faithfully served as Campus Minister for Pastoral Music and Chapel Choir Director, shaping a community of music, faith, and belonging. Since 2007, she has poured her heart into students and alumni, helping hundreds find their voices—both musically and spiritually—and creating a lasting legacy that continues far beyond the chapel walls.

Maria is now in the final stages of completing her Doctor of Ministry (DMin), an achievement she will graduate with in May. This milestone represents years of dedication, service, and sacrifice. Recently, due to an unexpected confusion regarding her tuition, she has been left with a larger balance than she had anticipated. With graduation just a month away, this amount must be resolved in order for her to receive her doctoral diploma.

We are asking for the support of her community to help her cross this final threshold. Maria has given so much of herself to others—now we have the opportunity to give back and help her complete this journey. Any amount, large or small, brings her closer to graduation.
