Help Maria Secure Legal Representation During a Critical Court Hearing

I’m reaching out to ask for support on behalf of my childhood friend, Maria O’Neil (née Silinovich), who is facing an unexpected and urgent legal challenge.

Maria is a devoted and selfless mother. She raised her son Connor into the kind, thoughtful young man he is today, and she fought tirelessly for her younger son, Cash, who tragically passed away just one month after his 8th birthday following a diagnosis of Alpers Syndrome, a rare and incurable neurodegenerative disease. During that unimaginably difficult time, Maria navigated everything on her own while caring for her children.

Recently, Maria learned that her ex-husband has filed a petition in California to terminate spousal support after only three years. A court hearing is scheduled for January 29th, but Maria and Connor now live in Texas, and California does not provide pro bono legal assistance to non-residents. Without financial support, Maria cannot afford the legal fees required to retain an attorney and properly defend herself.
