Help Maria Rebuild After the Typhoon

Hi, I’m Hannah Nairn, and I’m fundraising for my coworker, Maria Mercedes Garcia, and her family in the Philippines. Their home was destroyed by the recent typhoon, and they urgently need help to rebuild and replace essentials.

Maria is a dedicated member of our team—hard-working, kind, and the first to show up for others. She helps her parents and younger siblings back home.

The typhoon tore through Maria’s hometown, flooding and severely damaging their house, including collapsing their roof. The area is still recovering, with limited access to clean water and reliable power.

How Your Donation Will Help

All funds will go directly to Maria and her family to cover:

Temporary shelter & repairs (roofing, walls, electrical)

Basic necessities (food, clean water, clothing, hygiene items)

Household essentials (beds, stove, fan, simple furniture)

Goal: $5,000

If we exceed the goal, additional funds will support longer-term rebuilding and storm-proofing.

Accountability

I (the organizer) will withdraw the funds and transfer them directly to Maria, who will coordinate purchases and repairs for her family. We’ll share updates with photos/receipts as work progresses so you can see the impact you’ve made.
