Help María Rebuild Her Life After an Unimaginable Tragedy

Fifteen years ago, I met María through a parish in Montevideo where I was volunteering. Back then, she was a rebellious teen with a heart full of dreams. Life took us on different paths. I moved abroad and we lost contact.

Last year, we reconnected. María, now a mother of three, asked me to be her godmother as she prepared to be baptized. It was a moment of joy and reconnection.

But recently, tragedy changed everything. María suddenly lost her husband in a heartbreaking event that made the news.

Now she is raising her three children alone, in very difficult conditions. They urgently need help: warm clothes, mattresses, basic furniture, and food.

I’m creating this fundraiser to support María during this time of crisis. Every contribution ( big or small) makes a difference.
