Help Maria reach Sweden: Overcoming a 2-month diplomatic limbo

Hi everyone, my name is Maria. I’m reaching out for your support to help me finish a journey that has tested my strength to the limit.

Since February 21st, I have been stranded in Cucuta, Colombia, waiting for my Venezuelan passport to be released so I can finally travel to Sweden. I have a dear friend waiting for me there who has offered me a place to stay and the support I need to start a new chapter in my life. What should have been a short stop has turned into almost two-month diplomatic limbo due to consular delays beyond my control.

To make matters more difficult, while stranded here, I suffered a significant financial setback due to the unauthorized use of my bank accounts and credit cards by a former partner. This betrayal has left me with limited access to my own funds just when I need them most to secure my flight and final logistics. I have exhausted my remaining resources staying safe and managing everything alone at the border.

My document is finally in the final stage of delivery, and I am projecting my departure for late April.

How will the funds be used?

I am raising money to cover the final stretch of this ordeal:

1. The flight to Sweden: Ticket prices have surged, and I need to book my travel as soon as my passport is in hand.

2. Winter/Transition Gear: I will be arriving in Northern Sweden (Haparanda), where it’s still very cold. I need proper clothing for the Arctic climate.

3. Emergency Logistics: To cover the last days of accommodation and stabilize my situation after the financial breach I suffered.

Hola a todos, mi nombre es María y hoy necesito de su apoyo para cerrar un capítulo que ha puesto a prueba mi resistencia al límite.

Desde el 21 de febrero, me encuentro en Cúcuta, Colombia, esperando la entrega de mi pasaporte venezolano para poder viajar a Suecia. Allá me espera un gran amigo que me ha ofrecido su apoyo y un lugar donde quedarme para comenzar una nueva etapa. Lo que debía ser un trámite rápido se ha convertido en una espera de casi dos meses debido a retrasos consulares fuera de mi control.

Para complicar más las cosas, mientras estaba varada aquí, sufrí un revés financiero significativo debido al uso no autorizado de mis cuentas bancarias y tarjetas de crédito por parte de una antigua pareja. Esta situación me ha dejado con acceso limitado an mis propios fondos justo cuando más los necesito para asegurar mi vuelo. He agotado mis últimos recursos manteniendo mi estancia en un lugar seguro y gestionando mi logística sola en la frontera.

Finalmente, mi documento está en la fase final de entrega y estoy proyectando mi viaje para finales de abril.

¿Para qué es este apoyo?

Estoy recaudando fondos para cubrir los costos del tramo final de esta odisea:

1. El vuelo a Suecia: Los precios han subido drásticamente y debo comprar el boleto apenas tenga el pasaporte.

2. Equipo de invierno: Llegaré al norte de Suecia (Haparanda) en una época donde aún hace mucho frío y necesito ropa adecuada.

3. Logística de emergencia: Para cubrir los últimos días de estancia y estabilizar mi situación tras el fraude financiero que sufrí.
