Romans 12:8 “If it to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, them give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.”
Hi, my name is Jessica W. Reyes or you may know me as Mia’s mom (lol) and if you don’t know Mia is Maria’s granddaughter.
Anyone that knows Maria or has ever encountered her knows that she truly embodies that verse above from the Bible. Anyone that knows Maria personally or even just knows her through Facebook knows that her mother Margarita is her world! As most of you know Maria has been very vocal and open about her mothers diagnosis of Alzheimer’s . Along the way she has shared her experiences, worries and small triumphs on Margaritas part and lots of photos not only to keep her loved ones updated but also to educate and let others that may have a loved one suffering from this horrible disease that they are not alone.
On July 16th Margarita’s condition took a drastic turn for the worst causing her Alzheimer’s symptoms to advance much sooner then expected. 911 was called and an ambulance was sent to Margaritas home after Maria received a called from her moms boyfriend telling her something was wrong. Margarita was taken to Crouse Hospital where she received amazing care, where Maria and her brother Junior spent every single minute by her side. Doctors discovered that Margarita had a seizure, first ever in her life. Because of the seizure, Margarita now requires round the clock care. She now requires assistance with all of her daily living skills, assistance walking, eating, showering, getting dressed , supervision and monitoring for more seizure activity.
I am creating this GoFundMe because due the sudden rapid decline in Margaritas condition, this now leaves Maria and her family in a tough position having to handle all of this a lot sooner then expected. It will go towards any changes needed to be made in her home to make it safer for her, medical costs that insurance doesn’t cover and anything that is needed to provide Margarita with the best possible care she can get. I know this has been a tough year for us all and any little bit is IMMENSELY APPRECIATED. If you are unable to donate , encouraging words-prayers and shared of this post are immensely appreciated as well!
Maria goes above and beyond for just about anyone. Let’s show her that we’re there for her just as she is for everyone else! To everyone that has already shared words of encouragement, prayers, anything
Thank you ❤️
God Bless
