Maria Helena has endure some difficult time for the past few months. She has always been a kind, selfless soul-giving to others without ever asking for anything in return. Recently, her health took a tragic turn, and she was brought to the emergency room at death's door. Doctors diagnosed her with terminal liver failure and gave her less than a month to live.

By the grace of God, a donor liver was found within a week, and she underwent a lifesaving transplant. But her body was so compromised that her kidneys began to fail, requiring dialysis. She is now in a rehabilitation clinic, fighting hard to recover her strength and reclaim her life.

Maria Helena also lost her job as a school aide during this time and will need to relocate from New York to Florida for her safety and a fresh start once she is strong enough to be on her own again.

I am creating this fundraiser because she would never ask for help herself. Any donation , no matter the size, will make a difference as she heals and begins this new chapter of her life.

Maria Helena esta pasando por un tiempo dificil. Ella siempre ha sido un alma bondadosa y generosa, ayudando a los demas sin esperar nada a cambio. Recientemente, su salud sufrio un grave deterioro y fue llevada a la sala de emergencias al borde de la muerte; los medicos le diagnosticaron una falla hepatica terminal y le dieron menos de un mes de vida.

Por la gracia de Dios, en una sola semana aparecio un higado compatible y pudo someterse a un transplante que le salvo la vida; sin embargo su cuerpo estaba tan comprometido que sus rinones comenzaron a fallar lo que obligo a recibir dialisis. Actualmente se encuentra en una clinica de rehabilitacion luchando por recuperar sus fuerzas y su vida.

Durante este tiempo, Maria Helena tambien perdio su trabajo como asistente de escolar y necesitara mudarse de Nueva York a Florida por motivos de seguridad y para poder empezar de nuevo una vez que sea lo suficientemente fuerte como para valerse por si misma.

Estoy creando esta recaudacion porque se que ella nunca pediria ayuda por si sola. Cualquier donacion, sin importar el tamano, marcara una gran diferencia en su recuperacion y en este nuevo comienzo.
