Help Maria Recover and Regain Independence After a Life-Changing Stroke

Our family is reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for support for our beloved mother/grandmother, a woman whose entire life has been devoted to caring for others.

For as long as anyone can remember, Maria has been the heart and center of our family. She is kind, hardworking, and endlessly selfless. Whether she was volunteering at her parish or with one of the organizations near and dear to her heart, helping to care for her grandchildren, supporting neighbors, or simply offering a listening ear, she always put others before herself. Her strength, generosity, and unwavering love have touched countless lives.

Recently, her life changed in an instant when Maria suffered a severe stroke. While we are grateful that she survived, the road ahead will be long and challenging. The stroke has left her with significant physical limitations, and she now requires extensive rehabilitation, ongoing medical care, and daily assistance with many tasks that she once handled independently.

As a family, we are committed to providing her with the best possible care and support. However, the financial burden of long-term recovery is extensive. Costs related to therapies, medical equipment, potential home modifications, transportation to appointments, medications, and caregiving needs continue to grow as she requires the safety and support of 24 hour care.

We know that healing from a stroke is not a journey measured in days or weeks—it can take months or even years. Our goal is to give our mom every opportunity to regain as much independence and quality of life as possible while ensuring she is cared for with the dignity and compassion she deserves in addition to managing the expenses associated with the house she has built into a home.
