Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters,

I am reaching out to you today on behalf of my beautiful best friend, Maria. Recently, her world was turned upside down when Maria received a diagnosis that no one should ever have to face: Stage 4 Breast Cancer.

For anyone who knows Maria, you know she is a the happiest person in every room and can have the best time everywhere she goes, which is contagious. She is married to her loving husband, Manny, and is an amazing mother to their sweet baby boy, CJ, who just celebrated his 1st birthday.

Maria is currently receiving care from the world-class team at Memorial Sloan Kettering. Her treatment plan needs to be swift and aggressive. She has already had her port placed and is starting chemotherapy immediately, which will be followed by targeted radiation and additional medical interventions.

We know that this journey will be long and full of challenges, but if there is one thing we know for sure, it’s that Maria is a fighter. She is easily one of the strongest, most resilient people I know, and she is determined to beat this for her young family.

While she and Manny focus all of their energy on her health, healing, and caring for baby CJ, the financial demands of a long medical fight are already mounting. From frequent doctor visits, specialized tests, and intensive procedures, to travel, childcare, and everyday expenses during treatment, the burden can quickly become overwhelming.
