Maria is bravely fighting terminal cancer and can no longer work. We're helping her keep her home and focus on precious time with loved ones.
Our dear friend Maria is facing the unimaginable: terminal cancer.
If you know Maria, you know what a special person she is. She’s someone who lights up a room with her smile and warmth. Friends describe her as kind, sociable, generous, and always smiling. She has spent years helping others in our community through her work and friendships, always showing up when people needed her.
Maria also has a deep love for animals. She has always been a devoted dog owner, and over the years she has found a special sense of peace and comfort spending time with horses. Animals have always been close to her heart.
A few years ago, many of you generously helped Maria during a previous fundraiser that supported her medical bills. Your kindness made a tremendous difference, and she has never forgotten the love that surrounded her during that time.
Sadly, as her illness has progressed, Maria is no longer able to work, and the financial strain has become overwhelming.
Right now, her biggest worry is keeping her home.
She is struggling to keep up with her mortgage, property taxes, utilities, medical bills, and basic living expenses like groceries. One of her hopes is to pay a portion toward her mortgage escrow, which would help lower her monthly payments and make things a little more manageable.
Our goal is to raise funds that will help relieve some of this pressure so Maria can focus on what matters most: her health and spending precious time with loved ones, rather than worrying about losing her home.

• Utilities and household bills
• Medical expenses
• Groceries and daily living needs
Maria has spent so much of her life giving to others and being a positive presence in our community. Now it’s our turn to show up for her.
