The website has been restored now you can donate here please have in mind that you can adjust the tip to low porcentaje or 0 if you wish to donate directly to the family Please contact Marcial or Fernando/maria’s family to make a donation On a different way This website overcharged a friend of ours — by a few thousand dollars. We don’t want that to happen to anybody else, that has been resolved it was a confusion of the system confusing US Dollars versus Mexican pesos. We thanks for any support on this difficult times!
Maria de los Angeles, Marcial’s sister-in-law, was recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer after she became very weak and sick in a short period of time. Doctors ran several tests and, after a biopsy, confirmed the diagnosis. The cancer is causing her body to produce a large amount of fluid, leading to severe inflammation in her abdomen and even collecting in one of her lungs. This has made it extremely difficult for her to breathe, sleep, and eat, and she is in a lot of pain every day.
Maria is currently staying in a private hospital because the public hospital is unable to provide the treatment she urgently needs. Her husband, Fernando, has been working less so he can be with her at the hospital, and he and their daughter, Maria Fernanda, have been driving back and forth from their rural home to the city where the hospital is located. The cost of gasoline has made these trips even more expensive. The family has already spent a significant amount on medical expenses, and each round of chemotherapy is costly. The doctor is recommending two or three rounds of chemo to start, which will help stop the cancer from spreading and begin shrinking it. After that, Maria will need surgery to remove the cancer, which will require additional resources.
The funds raised will go directly toward Maria’s hospital bills, procedures to drain the fluid from her abdomen and lungs, medications, chemotherapy treatments, surgery, and travel expenses for her family. Your support will help her get the care she needs and give her family hope during this incredibly difficult time. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a real difference for Maria and her loved ones.
