It's hard to ask for help, especially at this time of year. But Cody and Maria are facing huge hospital bills and they need our help.

Last week, Maria was admitted to the hospital for severe abdominal pain. Prior to this, she had visited the ER three different times, receiving a different diagnosis each time. After being admitted, it was finally determined that she has severe pancreatitis, caused by gallstones. She needs to have surgery to remove her gallbladder, but because of how swollen her pancreas is, that won't happen for at least a few more days.

The expense of three ER visits, a week (or longer!) stay in the hospital, all of the testing that has been done up to this point, and knowing surgery still has to happen, Cody and Maria will be facing hospital bills that could easily cripple them. Maria does have health insurance, but it definitely won't cover everything. Add in the loss of wages (they have no idea when Maria will be able to return to work), and they're facing a financial hole that will be extremely difficult to get out of. All of the money raised will go to medical expenses and their everyday living expenses. Every dollar helps and they are so appreciative of anything you can contribute.
