My name is Maria, and I’m incredibly grateful to share that I’ve been accepted into a graduate program that will help me continue working toward my goal of becoming a physician. I come from a low-income, disadvantaged background, and my journey to this point has required resilience, sacrifice, and determination. Through my experiences, especially working in healthcare and serving diverse communities, I’ve seen firsthand how deeply access to care can impact people’s lives. These moments have shaped my purpose to become a physician who serves and advocates for underserved communities.

As I take this next step in my education, I am facing a financial challenge.
