Maria lost her job during the pandemic and after falling behind in rent her 14 year old son and 9 year old daughter self evicted. Her landlord harassed and threatened them. They are now living in a hotel room in the Tenderloin. Maria can’t afford that hotel room either. The rent is $1000 a month but her job is only giving her two days of work.

She is now 3 months behind in the hotel fee and is hoping to get help to not end up in the streets.

Her kids are her pride and joy and get excellent grades in school. Being technically homeless has impacted their mental health.
